Can you install windows vista and still have your original w

Hello everyone well i finally got vista to work no bugs in installation. But i have pet one final question- Can you install windows vista and still have the windows operating system im running now? If its not possible I am not waisting my time installing vista because it detected lots of programs that will not work with windows vista.... So does anyone know? If it is a yes ill be looking foward to your reply... -- Kyle

Do NOT wipe out the Windows XP system that you are relying on. Vista is a BETA TEST WITH KNOWN DEFECTS and is not reliable enough to use for anything more than testing!
What you probably want to do is install Vista on a different hard disk, or a different disk partition, than XP. My understanding is that it comes with a utility that will let you choose between one and the other.

He will get a boot options screen that offers his old and new systems.
